Superior performance with new
NTech®-technology

Exel has developed and registered the innovative
NTech® technology concept. This nanotechnology
concept combines integrated carbon nano particles
with Exel Co-Wound production technology. When
these nano particles are combined with best carbon
and composite fibers and Co-Wound production
technology, it results in a higher standard of mechanical
strength. The benefits of this process offer higher
impact resistance and flexural properties and lighter
weight. NTech® is a registered Exel Trademark.

30% stiffer, 20% stronger and 6% lighter
The Exel NTech®-technology combined with restructured
round pole shaft improves stiffness, shockproof
and bending strength dramatically. In comparison
with the previous Exel Racing ski poles the stiffness
increases more than 30%, shockproof and bending
strength over 20%. In addition to these characteristics,
the new technology decreases shaft weight by
6%. The NTech® shafts can be found in the racing
pole models World Cup, Racing and Formula.

Exel Co-Wound Technology
Exel is an internationally renowned composite technology company.

At the hub of Exel’s composite expertise is the Co-Wound technology that utilizes a computer automated process to manufacture carbon composite poles. This unique technology produces seamless, multilayered pole shafts of high structural quality. In this computer controlled process, multi layers of various composite fibers are wound according to pre-determined specifications based on the user and the activity. The Co-Wound process produces consistent high quality shafts which are precisely calculated according to torsional rigidity and flexibility requirements. Exel Sports has the ISO 9001 Quality Certificate.

More benefits for racers
The new Exel racing poles improve the performance of the athletes due to
• More efficient use of energy
• Improved durability
• Quicker shaft movements due to less weight
