This winter, cross country skiing has reached the summit!

Drive right up to the new Summit Nordic Center on top of Bristol Mountain, in Canandaigua, NY, and you’ll be on your way to enjoying the most rewarding outdoor winter experience that anyone can have.

Known throughout the region for its 1,200’ vertical rise – the highest of any resort between the Adirondack/Laurentians and the Rockies - Bristol Mountain offers new terrain with snowmaking that is easily accessible to the general public, and also serves as a training base for the Monroe County High School Nordic Teams. Anna Gorbold is Monroe County Chairman of High School Nordic Skiing, and the Pittsford Nordic Coach - “This is the most exciting thing to happen to Nordic events in our region for years!… The gentle rolling trails are perfect for training and for competitions.” Already young skiers are taking advantage of the trails.

Bristol Mountain General Manager, Dan Fuller is excited to be able to add cross country skiing and snowshoeing
on the two new Nordic trails. And inside the new lodge, Bristol Mountain’s rental center offers performance
and sport cross country ski equipment from Alpina Sports. With expert instruction, the well-fit ski equipment, and groomed trails, Bristol Mountain and the Summit Nordic Center have become the center of Winter Sport in
Western New York.
