- The Pioneer Light is a lightweight Nordic backcountry boot built for comfort and performance. It features the free heel technology and the advanced XP Rottefella outsole, offering excellent control and flexibility for backcountry adventures. A new, more comfortable last ensures a better fit, while the Alpitex waterproof membrane keeps feet dry. With easy lacing and an anatomic breathable footbed, the Pioneer Light provides a perfect balance of warmth, comfort, and durability, ideal for back contry adventurists looking to explore the wilderness with confidence.

Leather
The upper part of the shoe is made of high quality leather.
Anatomic Footbed
A special, anatomically designed footbed composed of three different materials assures a perfect fit and even distribution of force.
Alpitex Waterproof Membrane
The membrane is water-resistant and allows for good boot ventilation as well as comfort. The Alpitex membrane has been developed by Alpina engineers.
